Leydi Torres, (25 years old) Colombia. Surgical Instrumentalist by profession. I arrived in Ecuador two years ago because of a job offer. When I arrived in Ecuador, the reality was different, the company did not comply with what it had offered. Leidy often talks with his mother and siblings, one older and one younger, he misses them as well as his hometown Cartagena, Colombia. Alejandro, her boyfriend and her family have been a key support in adapting Leidy to this new country. She has found a family and shelter in them, they spend a lot of their free time together, she helps him in his profession as an artist and he supports her in her daily life, which is more
complicated being a woman, migrant and foreigner.
