These photographs are an excerpt from the collective essay -it happens when we shut up produced jointly by the photographic collective Paradocs and Stephen Ferry, as part of the Fluz Quito program.
The theme is created from an urgent collective need to transmit in images one of the biggest problems of today's society. Violence in all its manifestations against women by its nature. Every time society continues to normalize violent behavior through silence. In Ecuador 6 out of 10 women suffer some type of violence. We have to show that reality, watch it debate to find ways out of it because it happens when we are silent.

El tema se crea de una necesidad colectiva urgente de transmitir en imágenes uno de los mayores problemas de la sociedad actual. La violencia en todas sus manifestaciones contra las mujeres por su naturaleza. Cada vez la sociedad sigue normalizando a través del silencio conductas violentas. En Ecuador 6 de cada 10 mujeres que sufren algún tipo de violencia. Esa realidad hay que mostrarla, mirarla debatir para encontrar salidas a ella porque sucede cuando callamos.
